Japan Eats produces Japan-focused new media content for both local and international audiences. Through our site japaneats.tv, we publish original episodic videos, podcasts, articles and more.
Ken Worsley, Garrett DeOrio and Christopher Pellegrini founded Japan Eats in response to the lack of quality Japanese food and drink coverage online. Joined by web-video evangelist Marcus Lovitt, they launched japaneats.tv in November, 2009.
In an age where traditional media is losing viewers to anyone with a video camera and an Internet connection, Japan Eats is committed to providing audiences with the kind of high-quality content usually associated with Big Media. We passionately believe that viewers deserve online content as good as anything seen on their local cable channel.
Our shows are available on our site, on video hosting sites such as YouTube and Vimeo, and can also be downloaded via iTunes. We also aim to build an active community around our shows, interacting with people through social networking sites like facebook, mixi and twitter.
Japan Eats offers a variety of advertising opportunies to companies wanting to connect with our viewers. Pre-roll, post-roll and interstitial advertising is available on our video content. We also offer premium advertisers spots within our programs, with sponsor’s messages read by the show hosts. Our site, meanwhile, provides a platform for banner-ads and other types of web advertising.
Internet video is the future of media. Japan Eats hope you wll join us for the ride.
